Big Brother 2013: Dan Neal sides with Charlie Travers over Hazel O'Sullivan

Evicted Big Brother housemate Dan Neal has backed Charlie Travers over pal Hazel O'Sullivan in this week's nominations row.

We saw pals Charlie and Hazel clash in last night's highlights show, with Gina surprisingly firmly on Hazel's side.

The night ended in tears after friends and family nominated, with some very frank and blunt reasons.

Dan, who was one of Hazel's closest friends in the house, admitted: "Uh-oh...I think tonight's @bbuk is def going to be hard to watch. Don't like seeing my friends arguing/upset"

Watching the show, the former copper continued: "Have to say, Charlie is neither manipulative or sly. She puts her foot in it at times but is just very insecure. I love Charlie. Oh......I want to give Charlie a big hug. She doesn't deserve this"

He added: "I actually think that tonight could turn Charlie in to the winner".

But Dan did also defend Hazel.

"Every single person in that house has at some point talked about another behind their back. It's bloody impossible not to," he tweeted from his official Twitter account.

Dan later wrote online: "Had a lot of tweets re Hazel. I cant judge her by what I c on tv. She was my friend in the house & I hope we'll b friends o'side"

Big Brother airs nightly on Channel 5.
