Rylan Clark's Bit On The Side spin-off attracts just 250,000 viewers

Rylan Clark (Big Brother 2013)

Rylan Clark's debut as Bit On The Side host attracted a rather measly 250,000 viewers on Sunday.

The former X Factor finalist and current Celebrity Big Brother champ was hosting a new look weekend special of the show on his own for the first time.

The series was a spin on the usual Bit On The Side format, with musical guests Roll Deep and a feeling similar to Channel Four's Little Brother.

The lunchtime installment - titled as Rylan's Supersized Celebrity Sunday - interested an average audience of 252,000 between 1:30PM and 2:30PM on Channel 5.

Rylan's usual co-host AJ Odudu seemed to do rather better on her own, attracting 600,000 viewers to her Bit On The Psych spin off on Saturday evening, although the later time slot most definitely helped.

Meanwhile, Saturday night's live feed from the house had just under 60,000 viewers, climbing 10,000 for Sunday's reduced one-hour coverage between 8PM and 10PM.

Sunday night's highlights averaged 1.5 million, putting this year's series average a tad over 1.8 million to date.
