Big Brother 2013: Rylan Clark 'to host Bit On The Side' (and get his own show!)

Rylan Clark is set to host Big Brother 2013 spin off Bit On The Side, and scoop his own reality series on Channel 5.

The X Factor finalist won Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, and is set to continue to work on the show this summer.

The reality series will start its fourteenth series in June, with new host Emma Willis replacing Brian Dowling.

Both Alice Levine and Jamie East have also left the series, meaning a new presenter is needed for Bit On The Side.

The Sun reports that Rylan has been offered a deal, which would also see him with his own fly on the wall series following his “unique take on the world”.

“We love Rylan and after he won Celebrity Big Brother it seemed daft not to get him on board," a source told the newspaper today. “He won’t just be fronting BBBOTS, he’ll get his own show.

“He has so much energy it’s unreal. The viewers love him.”

We're a tad disappointed, with the changes to the show up until now suggesting a new direction for the aging show.

The signing of Rylan however points to more of the usual Z-lister guff that Channel 5 has become known all too well known for.

Auditions for Big Brother 2013 took place earlier this year, being completed online only for the first time n the show's history.
