The Big Brother 2013 start date is set for early June again, so there is plenty more waiting to do!
The Channel 5 reality show will launch its fourteenth series in less than two months time, with new host Emma Willis at the helm.
Emma said this month: “I am thrilled to have been offered this job.
"I’m a fan first and foremost so to be able to front the show is going to be amazing. Roll on the summer!”
Brian Dowling's axe is only the first change in this year's series, brought about by new Channel 5 director of programmes, Ben Frow.
He commented: “Emma is a natural on screen, she’s made the spinoff show her own and now the time is totally right for her to step up. I know she’ll take Big Brother to the next level and I can’t wait to see her dealing with the housemates both famous and soon to be famous."
Both Alice Levine and Jamie East will also be leaving the series, while behind the scenes a shake up of the production team is already underway.
However narrator Marcus Bentley will be staying put, tweeting after the announcement of Brian's axe: "I am thankfully doing Big Brother this summer. I hadn’t read the news today.”
Auditions for Big Brother 2013 took place earlier this year, being completed online only for the first time in the show's history.
