New Big Brother 2013 host Emma Willis has hinted that she might continue hosting Bit On The Side as well.
Channel 5 producers are looking to shake up the aging reality show this summer and confirmed this week that Brian Dowling was to be replaced by Emma.
Channel 5′s director of programmes Ben Frow said: “Emma is a natural on screen, she’s made the spinoff show her own and now the time is totally right for her to step up. I know she’ll take Big Brother to the next level and I can’t wait to see her dealing with the housemates both famous and soon to be famous.
“I’d also like to thank Brian Dowling for doing such a sterling job over the last two years. He’s been a big part of the success of the show and I wish him the very best.”
Speaking on the Loose Women panel show yesterday, Emma revealed that she might find herself fronting both the main show and the spin-off.
But while the future of Bit On The Side may be up in the air, Emma's over the moon to have been given the job of hosting the main show.
She said: "I’m overjoyed and so thankful to them for offering it to me. I’m so excited.
“I can’t quite believe I’ve got it to be honest, because I’ve watched as a viewer from day one and seen Davina [McCall] do it so amazingly well and seen Brian fill her shoes so brilliantly, and then you’re the next one that’s got to step up and it’s like ‘oh my goodness, it’s all gonna go wrong’!”
Reports earlier this week claimed that Jamie East and Alice Levine been could also be ditched from the program, with The Sun claiming a new unknown face was being lined up to host Bit On The Side.
