Former Big Brother host Davina McCall has congratulated Emma Willis on becoming the show's new host.
Channel 5 confirmed yesterday that it was saying goodbye to Brian Dowling, with Emma being promoted from spin-off Bit On The Side to take over hosting duties on the main show.
In a statement, the former Bit On The Side presenter said: "I am thrilled to have been offered this job.
"I'm a fan first and foremost so to be able to front the show is going to be amazing. Roll on the summer!"
Former BB host for a staggering 10 YEARS, Davina was quick to congratulate the mum of two.
She tweeted last night: "@Emma_Willis well done emma xxx"
Xtra Factor's Caroline Flack also tweeted her support, writing online: "Well done @emma_willis !! Girl power ... girl power xxxxx"
However it seems the decision hasn't gone down too well with everyone.
Brian's pal – and former Big Brother housemate – Narinder Kaur hit out at Emma on twitter last night
She tweeted a picture of a phone, writing: "hello @Emma_Willis ever seen one of these?u pick it up & call your colleague. It's calld having integrity.Ur welcome"
And Narinder later tweeted: "@Emma_Willis takes over from Brian. Because She's a huge fan of the show....wow. Now that is an belated April Fools joke."
Big Brother 2013 will return to Channel 5 in the summer.
