The Big Brother 2013 presenter switcheroo between Brian Dowling and Emma Willis is starting to get messy.
Channel 5 confirmed yesterday that Emma would be replacing Brian as the host of the main show from this summers new series.
Sources claim producers hope the move will bring back some glam to the live evictions.
“Brian has been a great host but Emma is seen by channel chiefs as a true successor to Davina," one insider commented.
In a statement, the former Bit On The Side presenter said: "I am thrilled to have been offered this job.
"I'm a fan first and foremost so to be able to front the show is going to be amazing. Roll on the summer!"
Channel 5 boss Ben Frow remarked: "I’d also like to thank Brian Dowling for doing such a sterling job over the last two years. He’s been a big part of the success of the show and I wish him the very best.”
However it seems the decision has caused a bit of conflict between Emma and Brian.
Brian's pal – and former Big Brother housemates – Narinder Kaur hit out at Emma on twitter last night
She tweeted a picture of a phone, writing: "hello @Emma_Willis ever seen one of these?u pick it up & call your colleague. It's calld having integrity.Ur welcome"
As yet, Brian has not commented on the news.
Meanwhile, Emma told her followers online: "Thank you to all those that have sent messages of support and congratulation. It genuinely is a dream job for me. Roll on summer! #bbuk"
