Big Brother 2013 auditions hit London and the wannabes are out in force

Big Brother 2013 is set to hit Channel 5 in the summer, with auditions already taking place.

This year saw bosses ditch the usual open auditions for the first time in the show's twelve year history.

Instead, those wishing to become housemates had to upload a video online to impress producers.

The lucky ones were invited to a secret callback in London at the weekend for fun and games as they were whittled down in a process to find just 16 housemates.

And showing that this year's series could be the biggest yet, 7ft bloke Lydon Sutcliffe was amongst the hopefuls

"I want to be the first giant on Big Brother," he told the Daily Star newspaper today. “I attract the girls because they always ask if my willy is huge too.

“I tell them, ‘If it was in proportion I’d need to be eight foot five’.”

It sounds like we can expect the usual from the line up this year, with the likes of an Essex 'model' called Amy also at the try outs.

She was joined by the 'World's Oldest Page 3 Girl', 61-year-old Annette Edwards.

Annette Said: “I can show these young ones a thing or two.”

Big Brother 2013 airs on Channel 5.
