Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt nearly quit Celebrity Big Brother 2013 before it began.
The US reality stars had some major launch night nerves earlier this month, and begged bosses to leave the show.
Fortunately for us viewers, perhaps helped by the £150,000 fee each, Heidi and Spencer decided to go ahead with the show.
"It's been a long time since they were in the public eye," a source claimed.
They explained: "They were really worried about how they'd be perceived in the UK They were terrified.
"They were dead against it for a long time."
The Hills cast members have proved to be quit the hit on the series, if only because most of the other housemates are as dull as dishwater.
Last week saw the pair stage a fake walkout after being sent on a secret mission by Big Brother, and the resulting fallout as seen their odds to win cut by the bookies.
The Hills pair's odds have collapsed from as big as 50/1 to 14/1 as CBB fans expect them to come off the winners in the face off that ensued when they returned to the house.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "Speidi fans are excited about the prospect of a scrap and have backed the couple to come out on top.
"Their odds have collapsed as they stormed back into the house."
