Comic Jim Davidson could be replaced on the Celebrity Big Brother 2013 lineup by Tyson Fury, it's been claimed.
Stand up Jim was arrested yesterday by Police investigating the Jimmy Savile abuse scandal.
Although he's since been bailed, Channel 5 sources have confirmed he won't be taking part in the series.
They told the Daily Mirror today: “Everyone has agreed that it’s for the best.”
A statement from Davidson's solicitor said: “Two women have made allegations in respect of Jim that date back approximately 25 years.
“The complainants were then in their mid 20s. Jim vigorously denies the allegations.”
Meanwhile, boxer Tyson Fury has been linked to the show, with his trainer tweeting yesterday: "Tyson could be going in "Big Brother show"!"
He added: "One things for sure it will generate big interest for right or wrong reasons."
Tyson previously revealed he had been lined up for the series last summer, saying: "I was supposed to go into Big Brother before, but I’m a boxer – not a celebrity. I like to see myself as a boxer.”
But hinting that he may be taking part in the new series next month, he continued: “It would be a good idea to see the other side of me.
“People who do know me know that I’m not a bad guy. It could be a good idea if there is an opportunity to go on in January.”
Tyson said: “They’d purposely put people in there to annoy me and mess me around – it would be either make or break. But if I ever do go in, it would be entertaining.”
