Comedian Jim Davidson has been ruled out of Celebrity Big Brother 2013 on the eve of the launch after apparently being arrested.
It's been rumoured that Jim had been selected by producers to cause fireworks in the house, while he was hoping to show viewers 'the real him' on the reality show.
But now the controversial stand up has seemingly been cut from the show after being detained by Police investigating the Jimmy Savile abuse scandal this evening.
The Sun reports tonight that the 59-year-old was one of two men arrested today on suspicion of sexual offences after flying into London for CBB, which is due to start tomorrow night on Channel 5.
The former Generation Game host joins a string of other 'celebrities' to have been arrested in recent weeks, including pop star Gary Glitter, Freddie Starr, and PR guru Max Clifford.
But the latest arrests are not directly connected with the Savile investigation.
Police said in a statement this evening: "Both individuals fall under the strand of the investigation we have termed 'others'."
Jim Davidson's agent Laurie Mansfield did not comment on the news.
