Joan Collins and Christopher Biggins have both turned down offers for Celebrity Big Brother 2013, it's been claimed.
Panto star Biggins revealed how he and close pal Joan Collins were offered a joint deal worth £1.3 million together.
“I was offered £300,000 to take part in the most recent series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ on Channel 5," he told the Daily Mail. “There was a condition attached, though – I had to persuade my very good friend Joan Collins to come in with me and, in return, she would be paid £1 million
“It’s a staggering amount of money, and more than any actor would get paid for taking part in a TV drama or soap.
“You can understand why so many succumb.”
However Biggins revealed to the newspaper: “Joan had the good sense to refuse, and I was relieved when she did.”
Biggins previously appeared in ITV1 reality series I'm A Celebrity, and explained he was offered £50,000.
He said: “While some are cagey about revealing their fee, I don’t mind telling you that I was paid £50,000 for what amounted to less than a month’s work."
Other names on the Celebrity Big Brother line up are said to include Bat Out Of Hell singer Meat Loaf.
A source claimed last month: "He's a huge name around the world so we're desperate to get him in the house.
"We know fans would love to see him and he would be TV gold. We want this series to be the best yet."
