Lord John Prescott has rubbished rumours linking him to Celebrity Big Brother 2013.
The former Labor MP had been rumoured to be appearing on the new series which starts on Channel 5 in January.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper this week: "Celebrity Big Brother would be the perfect platform for Lord Prescott to get his opinions across to the public on his terms. He doesn't suffer fools and that would make it 'must watch' TV."
However Prescott's son tweeted shortly after the report was published: "Can I say @johnprescott will NEVER DO Celebrity Big Brother or I'm a Celebrity. The only jungle he's interested in is the political one!"
Prescott himself retweeted the comment following the the tabloid claims.
Other names on the Celebrity Big Brother line up are said to include Bat Out Of Hell singer Meat Loaf.
A source claimed last month: "He's a huge name around the world so we're desperate to get him in the house.
"We know fans would love to see him and he would be TV gold. We want this series to be the best yet."
