Julian Clary remains the favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother tonight, but The Situation shouldn't be ruled out.
Ahead of Friday’s live Celebrity Big Brother Final, leading odds comparison site Oddschecker.com can reveal that American reality TV star Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is receiving a strong backing from betting viewers.
Whilst comedian Julian Clary is the current favourite at odds of just 8/15, and widely tipped to take the crown, Sorrentino, publicly known by his nickname ‘The Situation’ and priced up at 10/1, has received strong support in recent days. To demonstrate that, Oddschecker report that almost 20% of bets on the outcome of the Final have been placed on the Jersey Shore star to win.
‘The Situation’ has seen his odds for glory fluctuate throughout the show ever since he first entered the house as a 25/1 outsider. Just three days in, his odds had shortened to 16/1 but then in a dramatic turn he went back out to as long as 50/1 at the end of week two. Now, only one day before the live final, Sorrentino is back in to 10/1 to spring a surprise and win.
Clary and former EastEnders hard man Martin Kemp were the pre-show favourites and are the only housemates in this series to have seen their odds to win cut continually as the final has approached. Kemp is the second favourite at 7/2.
Third favourite, Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan, has been a steady contender throughout. Priced up at 6/1 pre-competition, she has never been longer than 14/1 and is now a best priced 7/1 to take the glory. The remaining two contestants, Olympic judo competitor Ashley McKenzie and rap artist MC Harvey are both major outsiders with McKenzie 41/1 to win and Harvey even longer at 50/1.
