Cheryl Cole is planning her own arena tour for the autumn of 2012, possibly delaying any planned Girls Aloud comeback.

The singer, who will release new single Call My Name in June, plans to finally go on the road after three albums.

Her new record, A Million Lights, is also out this summer.

“Cheryl is desperate to do her own solo arena tour," a source, as always, tells the Daily Star Sunday this weekend. “She didn’t feel she had enough material in previous years but by the end of this year she’ll have three albums’ worth of hits.

“Cheryl is so proud of her new album and wants her fans to be able to see her perform it live.

“There’s talk of Cheryl doing her own tour in the autumn, with the Girls Aloud reunion being pushed back to 2013.”

But fans of Chezza may have to wait, with the Girls Aloud star also keen to try and crack the States with her new album.

However it could see Cheryl go head to head with former X Factor star Cher Lloyd, who she mentored on the show in 2010.

18-year-old Cher will be releasing her debut US single this summer as well, featuring US rapper Snoop Dogg.
