Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is set to land her own BBC One chat show, it's been claimed today.
The Daily Mirror reports that Cheryl's pal and agent Will.i.am has pitched the idea to Beeb execs, and is currently negotiating a deal that will see Cheryl return to TV screens later this year.
Black Eyed Peas star Will has reportedly been using his role on new BBC reality series The Voice UK to pull some strings for the Geordie beauty.
“It’s all been tremendously exciting after Will pitched this idea and things have been moving at a rate of knots," a source told the newspaper. "They are looking at a show in the summer which would be the ideal vehicle to relaunch Cheryl’s TV career.”
But Cheryl doesn't come cheap, with the tabloid claiming that Will.i.am has asked for £750,000 per series, some £250,000 more than he is getting for The Voice UK.
Speaking earlier this year, Will revealed initial plans for Cheryl go it alone on the telly.
He dismissed any possible return to The X Factor for her, saying: “Why does she need it? Why are you going to make someone else rich? Cheryl needs her own show.”
