There hasn't even been an elimination and already Nancy Dell'Olio is considering quitting the show! The 50-year-old Italian businesswoman who was ranked bottom of the judge's leaderboard on Saturday night has apparently threatened to quit in a row over a stylist.
Dell'Olio who is partnered with Anton Du Beke has allegedly gave judges an ultimatum after she was unhappy with her hairdresser. The feisty ex of Sven Goran-Erikkson allegedly refused to take part in the first performance shows which happened on Friday and Saturday night unless she could call in her own stylists from Harrods.
According to today's Daily Star Sunday, the BBC refused to give in to Nancy and persuaded her to take part in the show on Saturday night. However, it's alleged that Nancy's diva-like behaviour is not going down well with her fellow celebrities or Strictly Come Dancing crew members.
An insider said: ''Initially the priority was to calm Nancy down when she said she would quit. It is the first live show, can you put up with it this week and we will look into how we can resolve this next week?" However a source close to Nancy insists that her strop only came about due to nerves ahead of her dancing debut.
The source continued: ''It was later made clear that the hairdresser on the show would be the one Nancy would have to use and that the matter wasn't up for discussion." This isn't the first time Nancy has hit the headlines for her backstage behaviour having already allegedly insisted on a chauffeur-driven car and designer shoes.
