I’m A Celebrity 2019: Jacqueline Jossa, Roman Kemp face critters and snakes in final Trials

Top three campmates play to win lavish last supper

Jacqueline Jossa and Roman Kemp were covered in creepy crawlies and slimy snakes for their final I’m A Celebrity 2019 Bushtucker Trials.

As is tradition on the ITV reality show’s last day, the three finalists each faced a classic challenge from previous years.

Rather than the usual questionable meals, they played to win separate courses for a lavish last supper.

Jacqueline was first to face her Trial, with hosts Ant and Dec revealing that she’d go on a ‘Stake Out’.

The actress had to lie in a giant star-shaped container, with her hands and legs tied down.

She then had to endure ten minutes of rangers pouring various jungle critters over different parts of her body.

Every two minutes she lasted would earn her one star. The first three stars represented the group’s starters, while the latter two were worth her own drink and a special treat.

First, slime, fish guts and mealworms were tipped over her left arm.

The EastEnders star tried to distract herself by planning her order for the big dinner.

“I’m thinking spag bol and garlic bread,” she commented.

Crickets, scorpions and cockroaches covered Jacqueline’s right arm, followed by green ants over her left leg.

She was concerned about were the nipping critters might travel, exclaiming: “Oh no, they’re going to go up my nunny!”

More cockroaches scuttled on her right leg, before spiders surrounded her head.

As if her task wasn’t hard enough, a large arachnid was then placed in Jacqueline’s mouth for the last 60 seconds.

She persevered and emerged from the cage with a five-star win, telling the presenters: “You’re out of order!”

The second Trial saw Andy Whyment chew on disgusting dishes in the Bushtucker Bonanza, earning the main course.

Finally, Roman Kemp joined Ant and Dec to compete for dessert in the ‘Panic Pit’.

He would be strapped in an underground coffin, where he’d also have to endure ten minutes of terror.

However, his company would be a gaggle of slithering snakes.

Piles of grain were dumped on the radio DJ before the serpents arrived, with one heading for a sensitive spot.

“It’s going under my shirt, don’t go under there please,” he gasped.

Roman was picturing the chocolate fudge cake he wanted when the lights cut out, leaving him in total darkness.

As the feeling of the snakes’ tongues began to get to him, his reached the time limit and was freed from the chamber.

Having won the finalists’ puddings and his own drink and treat, Roman described the ordeal as “absolutely terrifying”.

Ant and Dec will reveal who viewers have voted the new King or Queen of the Jungle later in tonight’s show. The winner will then react to the result on spin-off Extra Camp at 10.30pm on ITV2.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2019 concludes on Thursday at 9.00pm on ITV with the Coming Out special.
