Following Kate Garraway’s exit from the jungle yesterday, Andy, Jacqueline Jossa and Roman Kemp were left as the three finalists.

As usual, they all had to face separate Bushtucker Trials on their last day, each taking on one of the ITV show’s most iconic challenges.

However, they were not competing for their usual grub, but separate courses for a lavish last supper.

This year, it was Andy who stepped up to face the disgusting Bushtucker Bonanza eating task.

After Jacqueline returned from her ordeal with the starters, he arrived at his location to find a dining table.

“Ah, a table for one, it’s pretty obvious what this is boys,” he told hosts Ant and Dec.

The Coronation Street star, one of the late entrants to camp, said he was “really chuffed” to reach the top three.

“It’s nice because people have only seen me playing a character for 19 years,” he explained.

“A lot of people getting behind Andy rather than Kirk means a lot to me. I never thought I’d get to the final.”

In each of five rounds, rangers would serve Andy two dishes – one a disgusting delicacy, the other a mouth-watering homemade favourite.

Every time ate the foul option, he’d win one star. The first three stars were worth the group’s main courses, while the latter two would earn him a drink and a bonus treat.

“My gag reflexes aren’t great but I’ve got to give it a go,” he commented.

First he was offered a prawn cocktail or a witchetty grub. “Hopefully I’ll have that tonight,” he said of the appetiser while chewing on the creepy crawlie.

Next he chose a camel hoof over a roast chicken dinner, but he struggled to get to grips with the gristly meat.

“Are you being serious? There’s a lot of fat on there, I can’t bite through it,” he gagged. “It tastes a bit like pork.

“This is the trial that I really didn’t want.”

Round three saw Andy swerve a sticky toffee pudding with custard in favour of a scorpion.

“It’s crunchy,” he explained. “Tastes like salt and vinegar crisps… but now it tastes like something has pooed in my mouth.”

Having won the three main courses, he then chewed on a pig’s testicle for his drink – turning down a Bacardi and coke.

The actor retched after putting the whole testicle in his mouth, almost vomiting on the table.

“That was the most disgusting thing I’ve tasted in my life,” he gasped. “I thought I was going to spew the whole lot back up.”

Finally, Andy chose a crocodile anus over chocolate biscuits, aiming to earn his treat.

He compared the meat to Chinese pancakes – but was put off when Ant and Dec pinched a biscuit each. “That is so cruel!” he exclaimed.

Having polished off his final dish, I’m A Celeb superfan Andy was able to head back to camp with a full house.

“I’m so glad I’ve done it and got five stars,” he said. “It’s been an amazing experience and I still can’t believe I’m here.”

The day’s Trials ended with Roman Kemp braving the terrifying snake pit.
