It’s his first victory in the yearly challenge, setting a new Guinness World Record in tonight’s It Takes Two on BBC Two.

This year once again the spin-off show has been testing the pros with a brand new challenge.

For 2019, the pro challenge was a test of both technique and endurance as the dancers were tasked with completing the most Botafogo dance steps in 30 seconds.

Each step was analysed in slow motion before being officially counted, which led to some disqualifications for a number of the professionals.

At the top of the leaderboard come the end of the challenge was Graziano with 90 confirmed Botafogo steps, setting a new Official Guinness World Record. He beat Giovanni Pernice who had danced 80 steps earlier this week.

Graziano and Giovanni both broke the previous World Record, set in November 2011 by former Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev, who achieved 79 Botafogo dance steps in 30 seconds.

Last year’s challenge saw Oti Mabuse breaking the record for the most jive toe heel swivel steps in 30 seconds with a total of 48.

In 2017, Giovanni set a new record for the most Charleston swivel steps in 30 seconds.

And in 2016, the pro challenge was won again by Giovanni who set a record for completing the most jive flicks and kicks in 30 seconds.
