Will Bayley forced to miss Strictly Come Dancing live show after injury
And Neil Jones is also injured!Will Bayley has been forced to miss tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2019 live show.
The paralympian was nowhere to be seen at the start of tonight’s episode when the celebs entered the ballroom.
An announcement from hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman quickly cleared things up.
They explained where Will was, revealing that due to an injury, Will could not perform and would automatically progress through to next weekend.
A spokesperson for Strictly Come Dancing added: “Sadly Will Bayley was injured during training and medics have said he cannot dance in the show this weekend.
“Under the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, Will has been granted a bye to next week.”
Will took to Twitter to say during the show: “Hi everyone, I am absolutely gutted I cannot be performing tonight on strictly with Janette, sadly I’m injured and not fit to dance.
“I hope to be back on the dance floor next week. Good luck to everyone tonight. Thanks for all your messages guys, ill be back!!”
Will and his pro partner Janette Manrara weren’t the only ones missing from tonight’s episode.
Alex Scott’s pro partner Neil Jones was also unable to perform.
The BBC explained: “Separately, Alex Scott’s partner Neil Jones received an injury whilst training this morning. Kevin Clifton has stepped in to partner with Alex in tonight’s show.”
This weekend is the Strictly Come Dancing Halloween special hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, live from Hellstree Studios.
Saturday night saw the celebs and pros will join forces to open Strictly’s annual fright-night extravaganza with a spooktacular group performance
The 10 remaining devilish duos will again take to the floor to perform the below routines, hoping to spellbind the judges in the studio and viewers at home.
In Sunday’s results, the judges scores and viewers votes will be added together to form tonight’s leader board. The two couples with the lowest votes will then face each other in the dreaded dance off.
The power is then in the hands of judges Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, as they decide who leaves the competition.
There’ll also be a dark and dramatic group dance from the Strictly professionals, as well as a musical performance from Adam Lambert, singing his new single Superpower.
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One.
