The Great British Bake Off 2019 continues tonight with a special theme: It’s Festival Week!

Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood return once more to judge The Great British Bake Off which is airing Tuesday nights at 8PM on Channel 4.

As always, Prue and Paul will be joined by GBBO hosts Sandi Toksvig OBE and Noel Fielding in the tent.

The new season has introduced us to 13 of the best amateur bakers in Britain to the show, going on a journey to whisk, knead, ice, beat and bake their way through classic British cakes, perfect patisserie, Danish delights, sticky caramel constructions and elaborate layered puddings.

In order to take the Bake Off Crown, they must master 30 challenges carefully designed by judges Paul and Prue to test their limits.

Last week’s episode saw Steph Blackwell crowned star baker in dessert week, her third star baker win in a row.

But it was Priya O’Shea who was sent home after failing to impress Prue and Paul.

Tonight, it’s week seven and six bakers remain.

It’s Festival Week and the bakers go global with a Signature bake drawing inspiration from celebrations from around the world.

There’s a deep fried Italian Technical, and a spectacular Indonesian celebration cake for the Showstopper which puts the bakers’ precision and creativity to the test.

Those left in the competition are 28-year-old Geography Teacher from London, Alice Fevronia; 36-year-old International Health Adviser from London, David Atherton; and 20-year-old student from Durham, Henry Bird.

They’re joined by 26-year-old Theatre manager/fitness instructor from Stratford-upon-Avon, Michael Chakraverty; 28-year-old Veterinary Surgeon from Somerset, Rosie Brandreth-Poynter; and 28-year-old Shop Assistant from Chester, Steph Blackwell.

Watch all the action from the tent and see who leaves when the Great British Bake Off 2019 airs tonight (October 1) at 8PM on Channel 4.

Meanwhile, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice returns with Jo Brand, airing on Friday nights on Channel 4.
