Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Watch the celebs in their first dance

Here’s a look at the Strictly Come Dancing celebs in their very first performance.

This year we’ve fourteen celebrity contestants and tonight’s launch saw them partnered up with the pros.

Making up the male pros for 2019 are AJ Pritchard, Aljaž Škorjanec, Anton Du Beke, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Johannes Radebe, Kevin Clifton and Neil Jones.

The female dancers are Amy Dowden, Dianne Buswell, Janette Manrara, Karen Clifton, Katya Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova and Oti Mabuse and new pro, Nancy Xu.

Tonight, the pros found out their celebrity partners before hitting the dance floor for a first group dance.

The couples starting Strictly Come Dancing 2019 include Catherine Tyldesley & Johannes Radebe, Saffron Barker & AJ Pritchard, Michelle Visage & Giovanni Pernice and Alex Scott MBE & Neil Jones.

Joining them are James Cracknell OBE & Luba Mushtuk, Karim Zeroual & Amy Dowden, Chris Ramsey & Karen Clifton and David James & Nadiya Bychkova.

Also paired up in the launch show were Emma Barton & Anton Du Beke, Viscountess Emma Weymouth & Aljaž Škorjanec and Anneka Rice & Kevin Clifton.

Completing the line up are Will Bayley MBE & Janette Manrara, Mike Bushell & Katya Jones and Dev Griffin & Dianne Buswell.

Also partnered up in the launch show were Jamie Laing and Oti Mabuse however Jamie has since had to withdraw due to an injury. Oti will now dance with new contestant, Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.

It leaves Gorka, Graziano and Nancy without a celeb partner this year.

Now all the celebs and pros have two weeks of intensive training before they have their first LIVE performance on BBC One at the end of the month.

And before long, it’ll be time for the first elimination of the series.

Strictly Come Dancing’s first live show airs on Saturday, September 21.
