Ashleigh won BGT in 2012 with her pet pooch Pudsey, who sadly passed away in 2017.

On Saturday night, she’ll return to the Britain’s Got Talent stage for the new Champions series.

The brand new show features acts from Got Talent series across the world, competing together to be crowned the ultimate champion.

Ashleigh performed with new dog Sully, who was born a year after she and Pudsey won BGT.

Speaking about her time on BGT in 2012, Ashleigh said: “He was definitely an attention seeker. Britain fell in love with him. We were kind of thrown into this world that we knew nothing about. We had our own kids TV show, we performed in front of a Queen. My dog had its own film, no one can say that.”

Recalling how Pudsey passed away previously, Ashleigh explained: “When Pudsey was eleven, he seemed tired and didn’t want to eat. We knew something wasn’t right.

“The vet confirmed to us that it was cancer and said there was nothing we can do… and we had to say goodbye. He touched so many people, he did so much for me and my family. We’re very grateful.”

“Sully learnt off of Pudsey. Sully looked up to Pudsey. I’m a little bit worried, he’s never performed in front of an audience this big. I have to prove myself in a way, I’m coming back with a different dog,” Ashleigh said.

Each week in BGT The Champions, nine acts go head to head with two acts making it through to the grand finale – the first is a Golden Buzzer act chosen by one of the judges or Ant and Dec while the second is voted through by superfans in the arena audience.

Joining Ashleigh and Sully in the first heat are Australian comedy duo The Nelson Twins, Ukrainian sand performance artist Kseniya Simonova and Indonesian Magician and illusionist The Sacred Riana.

Also competing are series 1 winner, singer Paul Potts, Indian dancers Bad Salsa, American father and daughter daredevil duo Bello and Annaliese Nock and 2016 BGT golden buzzer act, dance group Boogie Storm.
