Show bosses have responded to speculation after Amy and Curtis called time on their coupling in last night’s show.

Amy was seen in tears after she confronted Curtis about his feelings for her, with Amy branding him a “compulsive liar” in their row.

Despite rumours that Amy had left Love Island, show bosses have confirmed she is currently still in the villa.

A show source added: “Amy hasn’t quit the villa, and false speculation of this nature is of course concerning and unhelpful for her family and friends to read about.”

A spokesperson for Love Island also reassured those who were concerned about Amy following the latest episode.

They said: “We take the emotional well-being of all the Islanders extremely seriously.

“We have dedicated welfare producers and psychological support on hand at all times who monitor and regularly speak to all of the Islanders in private and off camera, especially if someone appears to be upset.

“All the Islanders are therefore fully supported by the professionals on site and by their friends in the villa. This means Islanders are always able to reach out and talk to someone if they feel the need. We will of course continue to monitor all of our Islanders in line with our robust protocols.

“Love Island holds a mirror up to relationships and all the different dynamics that go with them.”

In tonight’s show, Amy and Curtis are seen in another tense conversation.

She asks him: “Are you upset that we’re no longer together?”

Curtis replies: “It’s probably going to be horrible to hear but I do feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.”

Amy reacts: “That’s interesting because last night I was going to end the conversation with giving you a second chance. I was going to work hard on our relationship. I thought that is what you wanted. But that’s not what you want.”

Curtis tells her “I don’t feel the romantic connection so I don’t feel like it’ll work in the long run.”
