The second series of MTV's hit show Geordie Shore is reportedly set to be based in another city - with names such as Manchester and Leeds being suggested. According to the Daily Star, show bosses are struggling to find locations to film new episodes after complaints about the programme.
The reality show - originally based in Newcastle upon Tyne - followed the lives and relationships of a group of guys and girls, including Gaz Beadle and Charlotte Crosby, as they got up to no good.
Clubs and property owners in the city have now banned the group and camera crews, with producers now being forced to move filming away to another city.
But the show will still be called Geordie Shore.
A source told the newspaper today: “Unfortunately the show proved too shocking for people. And Geordies got upset that it gave them a bad name so folk aren’t exactly welcoming them with open arms.
“Since the producers are having trouble finding anyone who will hire out their home to Gaz, Charlotte, James, Jay, Hollie, Greg, Vicky and Sophie, a move seems the only solution.”
The show was a huge hit for MTV, becoming their most watched programme in nearly a decade.
