A new contestant on Love Island is set to be bad news for Curtis Pritchard.

Love Island bosses are said to be lining up 12 brand new Islanders as part of a big mid-season twist.

One of them is reportedly Dan Rose, who apparently has his sights set on one girl in particular.

A source claimed to the Daily Mirror newspaper that Amy Hart - currently coupled up with Curtis - is his perfect type on paper.

"Dan is ruthless and will shake things up massively," a source shared. "His usual type is blonde and slim and Amy fits the bill perfectly.

"His arrival is going to cause major destruction in the villa - especially with Curtis.

"Who knows if Amy's head will be turned."

Amy and Curtis have been paired up since Day 1 and are the current favourites to win the show.

However some fans have called into question how genuine the romance is, with claims from some that they're playing the game.

They and the other couples are set to be tested soon with the return of Casa Amor.

The second villa is set for a dramatic return and this year it's rumoured that the girls will be heading away.

They're set to be joined by six brand new guys while the original boys will find themselves accompanied by six new girls at the main villa.

At the end of the twist, the Islanders will decide whether or not to stick with their current partners or couple up with one of the newbies.

Love Island 2019 continues nightly on ITV2.
