Bake Off: The Professionals concluded on Friday, June 14 with the final of its second series on Channel 4, the fourth season overall.

A spin-off from the Great British Bake off, the show sees professional duos from across the U.K. go head to head in a series of competitive heats judged by celebrated pastry chefs Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin.

After weeks of competition, KIMPTON FITZROY LONDON – made up of Team Captain Thibault and his team mate Erica – were named as the winners of Bake Off: The Professionals 2019.

They beat Pennyhill Park (Sarah & Leyre) and South Place Hotel (Nelson and Evaldas) in the final.

The final saw the three remaining teams fight tooth and mixing bowl to be crowned the winners of the incredibly tough patisserie competition.

Judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden had for the first time set two challenges for the final: Teams had four hours to create a stunning afternoon tea; and seven hours to create a mind-blowing wedding feast.

As always, hosts Tom Allen and Liam Charles offered their own comedic take on events in the professional’s kitchen.

A total of twelve duos took part in the series, which began with two heats.

In each three week long heat, six teams competed against one another with one team eliminated at the end of each week.

The top three teams from the two heats then went head to head for the first time in the semi-final.

A further three teams were sent home by the judges leaving the three finalists.
