There is a brand new favourite to win Britain’s Got Talent 2019.

Singer Colin Thackery secured his spot in the Britain’s Got Talent final when winning the third semi-final on Wednesday evening.

He moved the public with a rendition of Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again” in memory of his late wife Joan.

Bookies BoyleSports have made the Chelsea Pensioner the new favourite at 6/4, cut from 16/1 after Colin had the audience waving their arms back and forward with a gathering of Chelsea Pensioners in the background as poppies dropped from the ceiling.

It was a moving performance which has seen a massive shakeup in the ante post market.

Dave & Finn have lost their favouritism at 3/1 and have now been pushed out to 10/3, a slight drift for the man and his dog. 42-year old Dave worked on the police force with Finn for seven years, with his canine best friend saving his life when jumping in front of his owner during a knife attack and his performances have been very popular with the public.

In Thursday night’s semi-final, 28-year old magician Ben Hart will take to the stage to try and earn his place in the final. He performed some impressive tricks in his audition and selected a random audience member and teleported her between two cages on the stage.

BoyleSports make the magician a 20/1 shot to win overall, a drifter from 10/1, but is the 7/4 second favourite to top Thursday night’s semi-final with Mark McMullan the 10/11 favourite.

Mark McMullan impressed the judges with his rendition of ‘Bring Him Home’ from Les Miserables. The singer is currently 12/1 from 14/1 in the outright market but was as short as 8/1 following his audition.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “The Britain’s Got Talent market has seen further changes following Colin Thackery’s semi-final win which was a very touching moment in memory of his late wife.

“The judges and the public loved Colin and we’ve slashed his odds into the 6/4 favourite from 16/1”.
