23-year-old Curtis, who is also a dancer, is one of the starting Islanders on the line up for this year’s show.

He said of joining the ITV2 series: “The thing that makes me the perfect Love Islander is that I’m just going to be myself. I’m going to be me. I don’t have to act like anything, I don’t have to teach anyone how to dance, like my normal job! I can just be myself and have fun.”

Curtis added: “I’m great fun to be around, always thinking about other people and I’m always putting a smile on people’s faces. My worst traits are that I never reply to text messages, I don’t really like using social media or phones.

“I don’t really have any other bad traits.”

And he insisted he would NOT be having sex in the villa, describing it as a “private matter” and “not for the world to see” in an interview with Daily Mirror.

Curtis currently appears as a professional dancer on Ireland’s version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars.

However he was forced to pull out of 2019’s series after he and AJ were attacked in a nightclub over Christmas last year.

The pair suffered bleeding and bruising in the unprovoked attack, with Curtis needing surgery on his knee.

Together with Curtis, also confirmed for the Love Island cast this week has been the younger brother of boxer Tyson Fury, Tommy.

Applications for the series 5 are currently still open. The closing date is July 15, allowing you to drop in to the villa even once the show has started.

You must be at least 18 to apply and can do so online here.

Season 5 of Love Island now has a confirmed start date with the show launching at 9PM on Monday, June 3.

Caroline Flack is back to host with Iain Stirling returning as voiceover.
