Here’s a round up of the current favourites to win Britain’s Got Talent after five weeks of auditions.
Almost eight million people tuned into Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night, its highest rating of the series so far.
Singer Mark McMullan has entered the race for the £250,000 prize, along with the opportunity to perform in front of the Royal family at the Royal Variety Performance show, with his rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Miserables. The singer is currently 8/1 cut from 10/1.
Episode five of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night featured a magic act from Dutch group Angels Inc who impressed judges with their multiplying women routine.
Three of the all-female outfit’s members initially headed out on stage, surrounded by cages, chairs and a metal frame. As their performance progressed, more and more of them magically appeared. Bookies BoyleSports have shortened their odds into 33/1 from 50/1.
Duo act Julia and Alex from Coventry and Ukraine, known as A&J, performed a daring circus act using only two black straps and their combined strength to keep them aloft and prevent them falling. Their dangerous act makes them a 20/1 shot, cut from 33/1.
Dave and Finn, a man and his dog, were a hit with the audience and the judges in episode four. The pair performed magic tricks and BoyleSports have since shortened their odds on the pair going on to win into 7/1 from 9/1.
Flakefeet Primary School Choir remain the favourites but after a slight drift from 5/1 and are now 11/2 for the hit show. David Walliams gave them the golden buzzer in episode one that sent them straight through to the semi-finals.
Sarah Kinsella Spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Britain’s Got Talent has seen a man setting himself on fire, a daring knife show and now a dangerous circus act.
“The show has everything but nothing can move the favourites Flakefeet Primary School Choir from the top of the market as they remain the 11/2 favourites”.
