The new series of Love Island will be back on ITV2 this summer.

And although the confirmed cast is some way off being announced, one name has already been linked to the show.

Former Big Brother housemate Lotan Carter could be on the line up of singletons.

Lotan took part in Big Brother on Channel 5 – but was kicked out for breaking the show’s rules.

Now he could be set for a reality TV comeback in the Love Island villa, if rumours are to be believed.

“Lotan’s really up for it and he’s been training so he looks his best on camera,” claimed a source to The Sun newspaper this week.

They shared: “Producers seemed really interested but he’s worried his reality show past might work against him.”

The insider added: “He wants to find The One and hopes that he can find someone to settle down with through the show.”

Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that show bosses are going after a more ‘diverse’ range of contestants for this year’s show.

The ITV2 dating contest has come under fire for its stereotypical choice of islanders, focusing on six-packs and slim waists.

However, the upcoming fifth series could shatter that Instagram-perfect image.

The Daily Star claims chiefs want more ‘plus size’ lads and ladies to move in to the villa this summer.

A source said: “Sexy singles come in all shapes and sizes and this is what the viewers will see this year. It’s a really positive move.”
