This evening saw the last of five new Great Celebrity Bake Off special episodes for 2019, with more familiar faces entering the tent.

The gutsy celebrities were baking to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer – and to encourage viewers to do the same

In each episode four celebrities joined Bake Off hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding in the iconic Bake Off tent.

In the fifth episode, four more celebrities fought it out in the famous tent in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

But only one of the celebrity bakers could win the star baker accolade.

They were journalist and news presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy, TV presenter Caroline Flack, actor Greg Wise, and Britain’s most successful female boxer, Nicola Adams.

They took on a trio of challenges, hoping to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills.

This week the celebs faced a fruity drizzle cake Signature before a graceful – or ghastly – Technical saw them having to construct an edible swan lake out of choux pastry.

Finally, the Showtopper required them to build a towering 3-D biscuit version of themselves.

At the end of three tasks, Paul & Prue named one of the four piece this week’s star baker.

And in the final episode, Greg walked away with the Star Baker Apron.

The Great British Bake Off 2019 celebrity specials for Stand Up To Cancer air Tuesdays on Channel 4.

The third episode saw comedian Johnny Vegas, grime artist Big Narstie, Olympian Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and Labour MP Jess Phillips. Due to illness, Big Narstie was replaced by Sandi Toksvig in the tent.
