Susan Boyle, Ashleigh Butler and George Sampson are reportedly in talks to join a special ‘Champions’ series of Britain’s Got Talent.
Recently, Simon Cowell announced plans for an all-stars edition of the variety show, after the idea proved a success across the pond.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions, which saw AGT fan favourites compete against successful acts from other global versions of the show, attracted 10million viewers.
“So we’ve now got AGT and we’ve got AGT Champions. That was a very good change so there will be a BGT Champions,” Simon claimed.
Now it appears three of BGT’s biggest stars are considering returning to the show that made their names.
Alongside Susan, 2012 winner Ashleigh Butler is also said to be in talks to join the spin-off.
The latter secured victory as dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey. Following the pooch’s sad death two years ago, she now performs with his replacement, Sully.
Both competed in AGT: The Champions. Ashleigh was eliminated after her audition, while Susan made the top 12, but failed to progress further.
“American viewers were furious when SuBo didn’t win,” the newspaper’s source commented.
“Now Simon wants to give her a second shot by getting her on the British version of the show.
“Susan’s a great competitor, has a fascinating back story and is really popular with the British public. She came second in her original appearance and got near on AGT — so this could be third time lucky.”
As well as Susan and Ashleigh, bosses have reportedly approached George Sampson, who won the second series in 2008.
ITV is yet to confirm when an all-stars BGT may air, but it's not the only show Simon is giving a shake-up.
