When does Britain’s Got Talent 2019 start on TV? Here’s all we know so far about the new series!

The latest series of BGT will begin on TV later this year with Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden all returning as Britain’s Got Talent judges for the 13th series.

The line up of judges remain unchanged for a seventh year having proved a hit since first coming together in 2012.

And it’s been confirmed that Ant and Dec will both be back as hosts, after Ant stepped down last year from presenting the live shows.

When does Britain’s Got Talent 2019 start on TV?

ITV has confirmed the series will be back in April.

The first episode will premiere on Saturday, April 6 at 7:15PM.

The bumper-long show will run to 8:40PM before the finale of The Voice UK.

BGT typically airs Saturday nights throughout the Spring until a week of live semi-finals around the last week of May.

Alongside the main show, ITV2 spin-off series Britain’s Got More Talent will return each weekend.

Open auditions for Britain’s Got Talent 2019 have already taken place, with producers previously travelling the country to host open try outs while online auditions saw talented (and not so talented) wannabes upload their videos in a bid to show off their act in front of the judges.

The Britain’s Got Talent judges’ auditions 2019 kicked off at the start of the year in London before moving north to Manchester.

Acts needed three or more yeses to make it through, although once again the golden buzzer returned. It allows each judge – plus hosts Ant and Dec – the ability to send one act straight through to the live shows.

As always, there was a live crowd at every venue acting as the show’s fifth judge to help the panel make their decisions and making sure the judges know when they disagree with their choices!

Meanwhile, you can now sign up for FREE tickets to be in the audience for the live shows later this year

Expected to be filmed in London as usual, the minimum age limit is 12 while those aged 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult over 18.
