Jennifer Hudson and Sir Tom Jones had an impromptu battle of their own on The Voice UK 2019 this weekend.

The two coaches went head to head as the contestants were fighting for a place in the knockouts.

In a break during filming the battle rounds, Sir Tom asked his fellow coaches: “If you could see anybody battle who would you pick?”

Olly Murs quipped: “I’d love to see you and Jennifer battle!”

Jennifer reacted initially: “I can’t battle no Tom!”

But with the crowd cheering and encouraging the pair – helped along by Olly and Will – the duo were soon singing along to It’s A Man’s World.

As for who won, we reckon it’s fair enough to call this battle a definite draw!

You can watch the pair’s battle in the video above.

Tonight’s episode of The Voice UK saw the second round of this year’s battles.

In each battle, one act will win and progress through to the knockouts, which will air later this month.

But it’s not always over for the loser with the other coaches able to steal acts that their rivals reject, securing them for their team in the knockout rounds.

However each coach only has one steal and after last week’s first battles, Jennifer and Olly had already stolen an act.

Those acts that aren’t stolen are off home, out of the competition for good.

Tonight’s show saw battles on Team Will from Khadija & Emmanuel Smith and Seth Oraeki & NXTGEN, Team Olly’s Eva Campbell & Callum Butterworth, Team JHUD’s Moya & Bethzienna Williams and Bukky Oronti & Gisela Green and finally Team Tom’s Peter Donegan & Deana Walmsley.
