Jack and Dani won series 4 of Love Island on ITV2 in 2018, sharing a £50,000 prize.
However they've been plagued by claims their ongoing romance is a sham after that split drama in December.
Hitting back in a new interview this week, Dani said: "I’ve had messages calling me fake, or saying I only got to where I am because of my dad, or articles saying [Jack and I are] going to split up. It hurts because it’s not true."
In an interview with the new issue of Cosmopolitan, she continued: "I’m 22 and this isn’t a normal situation that I’m dealing with. I don’t know what money they think we’ve got together but we’re not David and Victoria!
"We’re not a brand. I’m my own woman, my own person."
Far from the pair being secretly on the rocks, Dani says she's thinking long term about her future with Jack - including the possibility of children.
"If in a few years I was happy and wanted one, then why not? Jack’s 27 this year so he’ll be saying, 'Come on!'" she added.
Jack and Dani recently spoke about their relationship in their one-off reality TV series Jack & Dani: Life After Love Island.
Jack said: "In the villa you’re surrounded by people 24/7 that are massively supportive and will always give you positive advice. But then you’re in the big bad world. So you have the mixture of positive and negative. Basically it’s a real relationship now which is where you take the rough with the smooth, like anything in life."
Dani added: "Relationships in the villa are probably always going to be perfect, because you’re in a surreal situation. That’s all you have, each other. There is nothing outside to affect that.
"You come out of the villa and then have to re-learn about each other. In the outside world you have a job to wake up to and everything hits you like a lightning bolt.
"You’re learning more about each other and you’re also dealing with the life you live now. It’s not a normal relationship anymore, it’s a very public one and you’re also trying to figure out what you want to be. It’s about keeping the right balance."
