Team Jennifer Hudson is currently leading the way on The Voice UK 2019 ahead of the last round of auditions.
There’s just one final weekend of blind auditions to go now before the teams are confirmed in full and we head to the battle rounds.
Currently, Jennifer and fellow coaches Will.i.am and Olly Murs have just one free spot on their teams of ten. Sir Tom Jones needs to find two more acts for his line up this year.
With The Voice UK teams filling up, one group seems looks stronger than the rest, according to bookmaker BoyleSports’ latest odds.
Jennifer Hudson’s team, or Team J-Hud, is the firm 13/8 favourite to have the winning act on their side this series. The top two in the betting are on Jennifer Hudson’s side, 5/2 favourite Nicole Dennis and joint 4/1 second favourite Moya, giving her a strong advantage over the rest of the coaches.
Olly Murs and Will I Am are head to head for second place in the betting with both coaches seeing odds of 11/4 apiece to have the winning act on their team this season.
Tom Jones is the defending champion and has the best track record of the current line-up of judges having two wins, two runners-up and one in third over the years, but with his current hopefuls he is the 7/2 outsider for back-to-back wins.
Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Jennifer Hudson is the coach to beat after the sixth blind auditions failed to spit out a hopeful who could shake Nicole Dennis’ firm position as the early favourite to win.
“Not only has Hudson got the favourite but she also has one of the joint second favourites to win also, in the form of Moya. With nine spots already filled, it leaves J-Hud with three more places left to make her team even stronger before the battle stages.”
