At the end of Sunday evening’s episode, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby had an announcement for the celebrities.

Next weekend will see a double elimination as TWO celebrities get the axe.

The line up of skating stars will be performing live once more, for a place in the quarter-finals.

Three will then go forward to the skate off, where one will be saved by the judges while two will go home.

Sunday night saw the eight remaining celebrities skating together for the fifth time.

Following each of the celeb’s latest live performances, it was TOWIE’s Gemma Collins who was voted off Dancing On Ice 2019 after the skate off against cricketer Ryan Sidebottom.

In the skate off, judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo decided who to save after the couples skated again.

Jason, Ashley and Jayne all saved Ryan, leaving Gemma to go home. Although his casting vote was not needed, head judge Chris also saved Ryan.

After Gemma’s exit, those on the celebrity line up alongside Ryan and his professional skater Brandee Malto include singer Brian McFadden and pro skater Alex Murphy.

They’re joined by Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton and her pro skater Alexander Demetriou, and Love Island’s Wes Nelson and his pro partner Vanessa Bauer.

Also back on the ice are former Strictly Come Dancing pro James Jordan and her pro partner Alexandra Schauman, Coronation Street’s Jane Danson and skater Sylvain Longchambon and finally, X Factor’s Saara Aalto & pro skater Hamish Gaman

Ahead of the next live show, it’s Wes who finds himself as the hot favourite to lift the Dancing On Ice trophy in 2019.
