Channel 4 is reportedly planning a full celebrity series of Gogglebox – with Marvin and Rochelle Humes and Jamie and Rebekah Vardy among potential stars.

So far, the reality show – which captures participants’ reactions to the week’s TV – has only aired celeb specials once a year, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

However, it seems C4 is eager for more, as The Sun claims bosses have decided to expand Celebrity Gogglebox to a six-part series.

According to the newspaper, production company Studio Lambert has invited the Humes and the Vardys to take part.

Spencer Matthews and Vogue Williams have also been approached, while Hollyoaks friends Malique Thompson-Dwyer and Ellis Hollins are in consideration.

Filming will apparently begin in July before the show airs later this year.

“Channel 4 bosses are excited,” an insider said.

“They know viewers will love peeking inside their living rooms and seeing what they eat, drink and wear when slobbing out in front of the telly.

“They’re hoping that some cracking anecdotes will slip out, too.”

Chiefs are keen to ensure the famous cast doesn’t include too many Z-list faces.

“It’s important to bosses that they don’t just have reality stars and that they entice credible names,” the mole added.

“A lot of the stars have busy schedules, so the filming in July needs to fit in around that.”

Previous celeb specials have featured the likes of Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson (pictured) and Danny and Dani Dyer.

It is unclear how a Celebrity series will affect the main version, featuring ordinary members of the public – many of whom have become established favourites with viewers.

Gogglebox typically airs two series annually, which last year consisted of fifteen episodes each.

The show is due to return to Channel 4 for its thirteenth run next month.
