The Voice 2019 returned this evening (Saturday, January 26) at 8PM on ITV with coaches Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs.

They’re back on the hunt for the best vocal talent the country has to offer, each creating a team of ten talented singers.

Currently, both Will and Olly have four acts (both are looking for six to complete their teams) and Jennifer and Sir Tom have five acts (leaving five spots remaining in each of their squads).

One of the acts we met this week was 28-year-old Craig Forsyth, a Community Nursing Assistant from Irvine, Scotland who sings in the hope of impressing The Voice UK’s four superstar coaches.

He told cameras before his audition: “When I was younger I was asked to sing at a few weddings and that’s as big as it got for me. I never really did any gigs or anything like that.

“I’m a car singer, put any song on the radio and I’ll give it my best shot.”

Craig admitted: “I definitely feel my nerves have held me back in the past. I was really scared about what other people thought about my voice but I’m 28. If I don’t do it now I’ll never do it.

“I’m going to try my hardest to get myself through the song.”

Craig sang ‘The Impossible Dream’ by Andy Williams for his blind audition and got Jennifer hitting her buzzer, sending him straight onto her team.

Elsewhere in this weekend’s show, a former pop group member takes to the stage, but will they impress the coaches and have another shot at stardom?

We also see a pastor take his voice from the church choir to the stage, but will one of the coaches make his dreams become a reality?

The Voice UK 2019 continues Saturday night on ITV at 8PM.
