Susan Boyle gets golden buzzer in Got Talent ‘All Stars’ series

Susan Boyle has won the golden buzzer in America’s Got Talent’s All Star series The Champions.

The brand new series features acts from Got Talent series across the world, competing together to be crowned the ultimate champion.

In the first round to air last night in the US, the ten contestants competing were Singer Bianca Ryan, Mentalist Duo The Clairvoyants, Dog Act Sara & Hero, Acrobat Uzeyer Novruzov, Comedian Vicki Barbolak, Sword Swallower Alex Magala, Dance trope Justice Crew, Singer Susan Boyle, Contortionist Sofie Dossi, and Comedian Preacher Lawson.

Susan Boyle received Mel B’s golden buzzer directly after her performance, see her through to the finals.

Susan performed Wild Horses in the show to a huge reaction from the judges and live audience.

Before the show, Susan said she had “something to prove” as she prepared to return to the spotlight.

Susan is one of Britain’s Got Talent’s best known contestants, appearing on the show in 2009.

Her audition, where she performed a cover of I Dreamed A Dream, went viral across the world and saw her become a global singing sensation.

Susan told USA Today: “I couldn’t possibly walk away from a second chance to prove myself.

“I’m really looking forward to singing – this time, with something to prove.”

Other acts competing for Britain’s Got Talent include the first ever winner, opera singer Paul Potts, as well as most recent champion, Lost Voice Guy.

Dancing dog act Ashleigh and Sully and pianist Tokio Myers are two more BGT winners who will take part.

More former BGT contestants appearing on the show including miniature magician Issy Simpson and roller skating performers Billy & Emily England.

Alongside Susan, comedian Preacher Lawson received the most votes from viewers and so joined Susan in the next stage.

Another set of ten acts will compete for two finalist spots next week.

Terry Crews will host the show with Simon Cowell, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum as judges.

The air date for America’s Got Talent: The Champions has been confirmed for January 7, 2019.
