Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ Pritchard and his brother Curtis have been left injured after a night club attack.
AJ and Curtis - who himself is a pro dancer on the Irish version of Strictly - were set upon by a group during an evening out over Christmas.
The Sun reports that both have sustained injuries while police have made one arrest after the apparent brawl.
It's claimed that a group of eight kicked and punched AJ, Curtis and friends last week.
“The brothers were having a relaxed evening with friends and AJ was posing for selfies with a few fans," an onlooker told the tabloid. “But the eight lads took a disliking to the brothers and pushed Curtis hard. Then they started punching them, like they were possessed."
They added: “AJ was left with marks from rings on his face. Curtis looked like he had passed out and AJ had to carry him to safety. It was like a scene from a wild west film with the bouncers fighting this group.”
A spokesperson for the pair said: “AJ and Curtis were assaulted in an unprovoked attack. Curtis is to undergo an emergency operation to correct damage to his knee. AJ received bruising to his face, arms, body and legs.”
In a statement, Police added: “The four victims were taken to hospital for treatment. All have since been discharged.
“Officers arrested a 20-year-old man from Crewe on suspicion of assault. He has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.”
Following the attack, Irish TV show Dancing With The Stars has revealed that Curtis has been forced to withdraw from the show.
They said: "Dancing with the Stars pro-dancer Curtis Pritchard was involved in an incident on 26 December 2018. As a result of the injuries sustained, he will not have recovered in time for the launch of the new series, which will air 6 January 2019.
"A replacement for Curtis on the show is currently being arranged and we look forward to welcoming Curtis back when he recovers."
A source explained to The Sun newspaper: "Curtis is booked in to have his emergency surgery on his knee tomorrow. He's naturally feeling apprehensive about it but he's trying to stay positive.
"It's been an awful time for both him and AJ, for now they're focusing on Curtis and his surgery and getting him better."
Strictly stars and fans alike have been quick to send their messages of support to both AJ and Curtis.
