Jason is one of television’s sharpest judges, with a track record of calling things exactly how he sees them.

Gemma doesn’t exactly hold back herself, known for her diva alter-ego The GC.

Now Gemma has hinted that their strong personalities could result in a clash or two on the ITV skating contest.

While The Only Way Is Essex star says she’s open to criticism, she can’t predict how she’ll react if Jason crosses the line.

“Look, I like straight-talking people. If Jason Gardiner has got an opinion on me then I welcome it to the table,” she commented.

“Do you know what? I’ll take his comments on board. If I agree with them then I agree with them.

“But if I don’t, then who knows what could happen!

“There are so many people who have opinions on me. As long as it’s constructive criticism, I’ll do my best and I’ll take it on board and be better.”

Gemma, partnered with Dancing On Ice’s longest-serving professional Matt Evers, is always keen to bust a few moves.

“I’m always dancing everywhere I go. I like to move my body, I like to be free,” she admitted.

“If I want to break out in to dance, then I’ll break out in to dance. I love dancing.”

However, she acknowledges that mastering the ice is a daunting prospect, calling it the “hugest challenge” she’s ever faced.

“Whether I can transfer that on to the ice, I don’t know,” she continued.

“This is the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced, definitely. Knowing me I’m going to break my leg, my arms and my back all in one week, but let’s hope I do it in style should it happen!”

Gemma is one of six celebrities who will perform on the opening episode of the new series.

She’s up against Grease legend Didi Conn, ex-Strictly pro James Jordan and X Factor pop queen Saara Aalto.

Also appearing on launch night are Coronation Street actress Jane Danson and Neighbours actor Mark Little.
