Simon Cowell appeared to take a swipe at Fleur East in tonight’s X Factor final.

Fleur, who was runner up on The X Factor in 2014, is currently appearing on I’m A Celebrity.

And Simon seemed to make a dig at her career as he gave feedback to current contestant Scarlet Lee.

Simon remarked how he didn’t want to see her end up ‘eating worm juice’ in the jungle in two years time.

The comment didn’t go unnoticed by those watching.

“Anyone else notice the subtle dig Simon Cowell just gave to Fleur East lmao #XFactor,” one reacted on Twitter.

Another added: “oh hell no simon did not just throw shade at fleur east #XFactor”

A third posted online: “LOL @ simon indirecting fleur being on i’m a celeb #XFactor”

Fleur had been signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco record label and released debut album Love, Sax and Flashbacks in in 2015.

However it was announced in 2017 that the pair had decided to part ways.

Fleur joined this year’s I’m A Celeb line up last month.

She’s one of eleven stars on the cast, alongside TV presenter Nick Knowles, actor and entertainer John Barrowman MBE, Hollyoaks star Malique Thompson-Dwyer, popstar James McVey, football manager Harry Redknapp, actor Rita Simons, TV’s ‘The Governess’ Anne Hegerty, comedy actor Emily Atack, Corrie star Sair Khan and broadcaster Noel Edmonds.

Meanwhile, it was a double helping from each of the X Factor contestants in this evening’s final as they performed twice – both a solo number and a duet.

Alongside Scarlett, who performed with Robbie Williams, fellow finalists Dalton Harris teamed up with Emeli Sande and Anthony Russell sang with Tom Walker.

Meanwhile, there were guest appearances from Anne-Marie, James Arthur and George Ezra will all be performing. Plus, there was a group performance from Robbie and all of this year’s contestants from the live shows.

The X Factor airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV. I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV.
