A simple rice lunch sparked a row between Rita Simons and John Barrowman in the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle yesterday.
As one of the designated camp chefs, it's John's responsibility to cook and serve food to the celebs.
However, Rita wasn't exactly pleased when she found out the Torchwood star was only cooking four meagre portions of rice for their afternoon snack.
"That’s not enough for eleven of us," she commented in the Bush Telegraph.
"Everyone’s too scared to speak up about it, so I do in a jokey, passive-aggressive way."
In camp, she exclaimed: "Hands up who wants more rice, because I do!
"Out your hands up if you want more, it’s too much to squirrel away, and it’s ridiculous."
However, John pointed out that the more rice he cooked for lunch, the less the group would have for dinner.
He was taken aback by the reaction, telling the Bush Telegraph: "That came out of nowhere.
"All of a sudden people wanted more rice, which is fine… but it was the way it was approached, like it was the blame of the cooks who were doing it."
Following Rita's protest, Sair Khan asked John how much rice he would then be cooking.
"I’m just going to do all of them, everyone wants all the rice so I’m going to do it all," he answered.
But Rita again wasn't happy, insisting she never meant for him to cook all of the rice.
"I’m not by any means saying let’s cook all the rice, all I’m saying it needs to be more than four between us," she moaned.
The former EastEnders actress told Emily Atack she "had to" say something on the matter, "even if I looked like a t**t".
"God forbid we have some food to eat or if anyone is going to cook anything, but it’s only one person that’s doing that and I can handle them," she snapped.
Having previously spoken to some of the female celebs, leader Nick Knowles then gave John a timely reminder.
"Remember the girls are going to be a bit jumpier because of what time of the month they told us it is," he said.
"We’re going to have that for a couple of days with the girls."
Perhaps wisely, John mimicked zipping his mouth in the Bush Telegraph.
"Tensions are a little high today that’s why I am just doing this," he noted.
Bosses only provide two tiny packets of basic rations - one of rice and one of beans - per campmate per day.
I'm A Celebrity 2018 airs nightly at 9.00pm on ITV, followed by Extra Camp on ITV2.
