I’m A Celebrity 2018 campmates aren’t happy with messy Malique Thompson-Dwyer

Hollyoaks star got candle wax all over John Barrowman's clothes

Malique Thompson-Dwyer’s mess-making is causing a stir in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp after he inadvertently got John Barrowman’s clothes covered in candle wax.

While the Australian outback obviously isn’t the cleanest environment in the world, some of the celebs have been keeping tidier than others.

Harry Redknapp complimented Noel on his neatness yesterday, telling him: “You must have been in the scouts, look how tidy you are!”

The same couldn’t be said of Malique, with Noel comparing his sleeping area to a “scrapyard”.

“Malique is a nightmare when it comes to tidiness and organisation,” the Deal or No Deal host commented.

“His area around where he sleeps looks like a scrapyard.”

Malique – this year’s youngest campmate – brushed off the criticism, laughing: “We’re in the jungle mate, for goodness’ sake!”

Noel then helped him spruce up his hammock, joking: “Have you got your homework?

“The school has rung saying for the third day running you didn’t take your homework in!”

The Hollyoaks actor told the Bush Telegraph: “He was babying me a bit, which was quite funny. Quite sweet, like being with my mum.”

Moments later, John discovered that candle wax had melted all over his bag, sticking his clothes together.

Insisting that it wasn’t his fault, the Torchwood star suspected Malique was to blame.

“I blew it out before I went to bed, you didn’t light it up again did you Malique?” he asked.

The 20-year-old took responsibility for the mishap, apologising as Rita Simons helped John pick the wax out.

“I didn’t do it on purpose,” he said. “Sorry John, sorry mate.”
