Lewis Flanagan has hit out at Big Brother bosses for removing him from the house.

Lewis was kicked off the show days before the final with “immediate effect.”

A spokesperson for Big Brother said at the time: “Lewis has been removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable language that contravenes the rules. Lewis has left the House with immediate effect.”

While Big Brother never explained exactly what happened, Lewis himself did speak out to reveal what was said.

He said: I was talking to Cameron about getting him some outfits and I said the word ‘Auschwitz’ instead of outfits by mistake. It was a slip of the tongue and and then I tried to mock Hitler and did an impression of him saying ‘Kill the Jews’.

“It was an impression not a statement of my beliefs at all – and has come out completely wrong and I’m devastated. I am not anti-Semitic, I am agnostic. I love all people.”

Now Lewis has slammed his treatment, accusing other housemates of also using what he saw as unacceptable language.

“The impression I did was taken out of context – the way I’ve been treated has been ridiculous. Channel 5 made me look like the villain of the episode,” he claimed.

Lewis alleged: “People in there had said the N word – Hussain was walking around saying ‘Jesus Christ’ when he isn’t Christian, he’s Muslim. I honestly do not think it was fair.”

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Lewis went on to complain about not being given an interview after leaving.

He said: “It sucks I didn’t get an exit interview or interview with Rylan. It feels like I’ve been fed to the lions.

“Roxanne [Pallet] got an interview and what she did was pretty terrible. All I did was mock Hitler and how crazy he was and the fact he wanted to wipe out a whole race of people.”

Lewis had been the favourite to win the show before his exit. It was Cameron Cole who went on to win Big Brother 2018 in the final, taking home the £100,000 prize fund. He beat Akeem Griffiths in the final two while Zoe Jones finished third and Cian Carrigan ranked in fourth.

It was the final series of the show to air on Channel 5, which has now cancelled the series.
