Joe Sugg has been installed as the new favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing 2018.

The weekend saw week 2 of live Strictly Come Dancing performances and the first celebrity eliminated.

Despite not topping the scoreboard for the second week running, YouTuber Joe is a fan favourite after impressing with his footwork during his Charleston on Saturday. Bookies BoyleSports have had to cut Sugg into the new 4/1 favourite after further support began to flow in for him at his previous 9/2 odds.

Ashley Roberts may have headed the leaderboard yet again but her odds haven’t budged as she remains priced at 9/2, however she’s has been edged out to second favourite after Joe took over the top spot.

Faye Tozer had another high scoring week, receiving a total of 31 points for her Viennese Waltz and has begun to move up the betting, shortening from 6/1 from 7/1.

Lee Ryan found himself in the bottom two alongside Susannah Constantine, who was booted from the show, and he remains an outsider at 20/1 to win as a result.

Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Joe Sugg may not be dominating the Strictly leaderboard but he has taken over the betting as the 4/1 favourite to win after yet more money came waltzing in for the YouTube star.”

She added “We have seen support for Ashley Roberts begin to dry up already despite topping the leadboard both weeks. Strictly fans like to see a novice dancer embark on a journey and progress each week and unfortunately for Ashley, who has a dancing background, she may have already peaked.”
