Three housemates face the axe from Big Brother 2018 in tonight’s first live eviction.

Here’s all the latest news from the house, including what happened in last night’s highlights show.

This year, Big Brother has opened the ‘Bank of Big Brother’, with its own currency ‘Big Coin’. The new currency will play a very important role throughout the new season.

Housemates have been able to earn Big Coin through tasks and twists over this week and they can use the coins to buy privileges in the house or advantages in the game.

For the very first week, there were no nominations and instead the three poorest housemates with the fewest Big Coins faced the axe.

Last night’s highlights saw one final task to earn Big Coin has housemates took part in a ‘Gold Diggers’ task. They had to mine for gold which they could then sell to Big Brother in exchange for Big Coin.

Before the week’s totals were confirmed, there was more twist when Zoe revealed her launch night power. After choosing to sleep in ‘lucky bed 13’ on the first evening, she won the ability to swap her coin balance with another housemate.

Zoe chose to swap her balance with Lewis F, seeing her join Isaac and Akeem as the three richest housemates.

Last night it was revealed that Anamélia Silva, Sîan Hamshaw and Kay Lovelle were the current three poorest housemates and are up for eviction.

Yesterday, Big Brother announced the news to the group who were shocked by the outcome. Anamélia said: “That’s so weird. This is so strange. How?”

With it being a vote to evict, Anamelia is the odds-on tip with the bookies to be leaving in tonight’s live show.

Meanwhile, Cameron Cole has declared the Big Brother house haunted.

“I think I’ve seen a ghost in here,” he told Zoe. “I think the house is haunted. I think the Big Brother house is haunted. f**k, if I’m here for Halloween I’m going to be a wreck.”

Big Brother 2018 continues Sunday-Fridays at 10PM on Channel 5. The first eviction takes place at 10PM, TONIGHT with host Emma Willis.
